Beamhole uses the Noise encryption protocol — the same encryption technology that protects WhatsApp. Your files are encrypted before they leave your computer and are decrypted when they arrive on your other computer. Your files are never stored on a third party server.
Beamhole only works on your local network. If your devices are not on the same network, you could try using a VPN to connect them.
Beamhole does not impose a file size limit. However, note, the larger the file, the longer it will take to transfer.
